{"id":2901,"date":"2025-03-11T16:39:27","date_gmt":"2025-03-11T16:39:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/outreachfoundation.co.za\/wpof\/?p=2901"},"modified":"2025-03-12T05:56:45","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T05:56:45","slug":"job-advert-paralegal-musina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/outreachfoundation.co.za\/wpof\/2025\/03\/11\/job-advert-paralegal-musina\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Advert: Paralegal (Musina)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-af9af3ae0f22e1de4c228db01d1d36e4\"><strong>PLEASE NOTE THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS 25 March 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d02536e534a43dd99184a1417a41cd6e\"><strong>Job description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reporting to the Team Leader;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborating with the community development workers and other stakeholders as required;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing the caseload from intake through processing, exit and filing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing applications for renewals (asylum and refugee status) and secondary benefits for<br>foreign nationals;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with newcomer orientation, preparation and representation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accompany participants to government departments and representation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist and advise with late registration of birth;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advice with VFS applications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advocate for migrant and refugee participation, social inclusion and public participation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organise quarterly stakeholder meetings to strengthen efforts in networking, communication,<br>and keeping up to date with the latest legislation on migration, refugees, and citizens;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping clients informed of the progress of their cases;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to manage immigration inquiries, gather required information, and keep clients<br>informed of progress;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining hard copy files and entering data into an immigration case management system;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responding to immigration inquiries promptly and adhering to submission deadlines; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in regular community outreaches and campaigns in Musina and surrounding rural<br>communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completed LLB degree or Paralegal qualifications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to collaborate with immigration attorneys and regional paralegal managers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A strong willingness to engage with, learn and understand the challenges related to visa,<br>permanent residency, and secondary benefit applications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High attention to detail;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good understanding of the migration and refugee legal framework;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A passion for and understanding of migration;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent MS Office and spreadsheet\/database development skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to handle multiple projects, prioritise work and work effectively under limited<br>supervision;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to work under pressure and deliver under short timeframes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good project management skills;
