Please note that the deadline for the Musina position has been moved to the <\/strong>25th of April, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsible for all Administration work of the Social Services Department;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsible for all departmental case files;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To participate in support\/information meetings and one-to-one supervision meetings held in Johannesburg every Friday;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attend relevant training courses and workshops;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To provide Psychosocial support, Life skills and Career counselling;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To undertake required record-keeping procedures, including reporting verbally to the supervisor and completing any relevant programme forms;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assist with intake and referrals;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collect information relevant to clients’ needs and assessing their relevant skills, strengths and deficits;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assist clients to identify options and develop plans of action while providing necessary support and assistance;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conduct follow-ups with new and existing clients telephonically and by way of home visits;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assist clients in identifying and accessing community resources, including medical, financial assistance, housing, employment, transportation and other referral services;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assist with facilitation of Adults and Children\u2019s Support Groups;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assist with all the projects facilitated at the Outreach Foundation;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assist with community awareness campaigns;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assist with monitoring and reporting on clients’ progress; and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maintain contact with other social service agencies, schools and health care providers involved with clients to provide information and obtain feedback on clients’ overall situation and progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualified as a Social Worker and\/or have an Honours degree in Psychology; and
Registered with the SACSSP as a Social Worker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
* Be between the ages of 18 and 34;
* Have never had any formal employment;
* Be a South African Citizen;
* Must have the qualifications listed above;
* Are not currently in full-time studies and can attend this internship full-time;
* Add a cover letter stating why you want to do the internship and specify which
city\/town you are applying for; and
* We will also require a completed application form, a certified copy of your ID no
older than 3 months, and a certified copy of your highest qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The start date of the internship is the 1st of July 2024, and the end date is the 30th of June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: You must be willing to be subjected to a credit and criminal check or any industry-specific check required for your job role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
