{"id":1961,"date":"2023-04-06T15:17:42","date_gmt":"2023-04-06T15:17:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/outreachfoundation.co.za\/wpof\/?p=1961"},"modified":"2023-04-08T10:20:26","modified_gmt":"2023-04-08T10:20:26","slug":"business-skills-training-internship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/outreachfoundation.co.za\/wpof\/2023\/04\/06\/business-skills-training-internship\/","title":{"rendered":"Business Skills Training Internship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-large-font-size\"><strong>NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job description:<br><\/strong><br>A key outcome of this position would be coordinating the small-medium enterprise development unit as part of incubation for students graduating from the skills development courses.<br><br>The skills development centre offers training specifically to unemployed youth between the ages of 18- 34, and through this intervention, adds market-related skills to participants to eventually become economically independent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you seriously want to broaden your world and contribute to our society&#8217;s social landscape, then this job is for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist students with the training and the development of individual business plans;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training of students in basic business and entrepreneurship skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist students by creating a pathway that leads to an exit strategy from the incubation programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Function as part of a multi-disciplinary team that guides the progress of students during incubation and to primarily address key gaps and needs identified by participants in the incubation process;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Link students with internships, employment, and self-employment opportunities; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in tracking progress on small-scale businesses set up by graduates of the training and incubation programmes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Qualifications and qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The candidate must at least have qualified with a degree or diploma in Business Management or Entrepreneurial studies and must be a passionate social entrepreneur with good, strong skills in working with people.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The person must be willing to take risks, especially in turbulent and challenging times; and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Be between the ages of 18 and 34;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Have never had any formal employment;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be a South African Citizen; <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Are not currently in full-time studies and can attend this internship full-time;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add a cover letter stating why you want to do the internship and specify which city\/town you are applying for;
