{"id":1952,"date":"2023-04-06T14:10:19","date_gmt":"2023-04-06T14:10:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/outreachfoundation.co.za\/wpof\/?p=1952"},"modified":"2023-04-08T12:50:27","modified_gmt":"2023-04-08T12:50:27","slug":"assistant-teacher-educator-internship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/outreachfoundation.co.za\/wpof\/2023\/04\/06\/assistant-teacher-educator-internship\/","title":{"rendered":"Assistant Teacher\/Educator Internship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-large-font-size\"><strong>NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assistant teacher\/ Educator intern x 1 (academic support programme PTA)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key outcome of this position would be coordinating the homework support programme at the Outreach Foundation and in the participating schools and participating in community education\/teaching opportunities to impart skills to school learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To assist students that are challenged with key school subject matters;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To assist school-going students in improving their academic performance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement support based on a baseline that measures the impact of homework support assistance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To liaise with principals and teachers on individuals&#8217; progress;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To function as part of a multi-disciplinary team that guides the progress of students; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To continually research what is relevant to the subject matter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Qualifications and qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Must have an education background and have completed at least a Diploma or B Ed qualification (primary\/high school); and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be an independent thinker willing to take chances and not afraid of challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Be between the ages of 18 and 34;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Have never had any formal employment;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be a South African Citizen;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Are not currently in full-time studies and can attend this internship full-time;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add a cover letter stating why you want to do the internship and specify which city\/town you are applying for; and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>We will also require a completed application form, a certified copy of your ID no older than 3 months, and a certified copy of your highest qualification.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The start date of the internship is the 1<sup>st<\/sup> of July 2023, and the end date is the 30<sup>th<\/sup> of June 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> You must be willing to be subjected to a credit and criminal check or any industry-specific check required for your job role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Email your CV together with the cover letter, stating clearly which position you are applying for and all other requirements listed above, to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:info@outreachfoundation.co.za\" target=\"_blank\">info@outreachfoundation.co.za<\/a><\/strong> &#8211;
