We are excited to announce a 12-month internship opportunity for one Digital Skills Assistant Trainer based at our Hillbrow office, but who will also go to our Pretoria office. This opportunity is open to candidates who:
* * Are between the ages of 18 and 34;
* Have never held a full-time position before, and preferably have not participated in a learnership or internship before;
* Are South African Citizens;
* Have a minimum qualification of Matric;
* Are not currently in full-time studies and can attend this internship full-time;
* Are willing to be subjected to a credit and criminal check or any industry-specific checks required for your role;
* Must have the following qualifications: must have at least a higher certificate or above in Computer/Information Technology/digital skills-related qualifications. The person must be flexible and willing to learn and share knowledge. If you seriously want to broaden your world and want to contribute to the social landscape of our society, then this job is for you; and
* Live within 50km of our office, which is situated at 30 Edith Cavell Street, Hillbrow, Johannesburg.
The internship starts on the 1st of July 2026 and ends on the 30th of June 2027.
Job Description: A key outcome of this position would be the provision of individualised and group assistance in Digital Skills training courses offered by Outreach Foundation. Reporting line: This is an internship position funded by the FirstRand Foundation. The Digital Skills Assistant Trainer Intern will work under direct supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
- To provide daily facilitation on basic computer skills for Skills Development trainings;
- To provide facilitation on the Point-of-Sale System training;
- To offer support and assistance in the facilitation of ICDL training courses;
- To ensure the linking and support of the Point-of-sale backend to the Canteen;
- To undertake the required record-keeping and administrative duties associated with the position;
- To assist business incubation with digital skills support and assist with consolidating class registers for all digital skills trainings; and
- Assist learners through their training needs to ensure a learner-based approach is upheld.
