Environmental Awareness at Outreach Foundation

On Wednesday, March 20th, the Community Outreach Department conducted environmental awareness activities with youth in the area. The purpose of the environmental awareness community upliftment activity was to instil a sense of environmental stewardship, educate learners about sustainable agricultural practices, and foster a connection to nature.

The objectives of the activity were:

Environmental Education: Provide children with opportunities to learn about various aspects of the environment, including ecosystems, biodiversity, and the importance of conservation.

Hands-on Learning: Engage children in practical garden activities that demonstrate sustainable farming techniques, such as composting, organic gardening, and water Conservation Community Engagement. Encourage participation from families and community members to support the children’s environmental learning and create a sense of collective responsibility for environmental stewardship.

The outcomes of the activity were:

Increased Environmental Awareness: Children develop a greater understanding of environmental issues and their role in preserving and protecting the environment.

Community Cohesion: The activity fosters a sense of community among participants as they work together to promote environmental awareness and stewardship, strengthening social ties and collective action for environmental conservation.
