Published 5 December 2022: International Chef’s Day is celebrated each year on 20th October. This year we celebrated the day with the learner support programme participants. A big thank you to the whole Outreach Foundation team for ensuring the day is a success.
Thank you to Mocha Fetoha and Food Preservation team for giving a lesson on preservation and processing, to Chef Sizwe and Tshepiso Motsatsi for leading the food preparation training, all the Food Preparation class graduates for sharing their culinary knowledge with the learners, and to the Academic Support Programme volunteers for being hands-on and leading from the front. We’d also like to thank our guys from the rooftop garden for the tour and the talk on sources of food.
In addition, thanks to SA Chefs Association, Auckland Park, for supporting the day’s proceedings and to Beyhan College and Centurion College for ensuring the learners’ participation. We are also grateful to The Green Business College and The Culinary Consultants.
